More than 7 generations of the Loferer dynasty have put their heart and soul into the hotel – and you can feel that, from the first moment you arrive at our hotel. Just as we want to be welcomed when we travel, so we welcome our guests, with a natural warmth.
Josef Loferer VI.(Pepi) & Miranda Loferer
Pepi Loferer, the “backbone of the company”, got the scepter of the company in his hands at a very young age through the hard schooling of his father, who unfortunately died very young, and mastered his start with flying colors. With pride he and his wife Miranda, whom he married in February 2014, and who also looks after the well-being of our guests at the Waldhof and undertakes all outdoor activities such as the guided hike to the Ebenbergalm, will hand over a healthy business to the next generation. The two are guarantors of the knowledge of the region – and you benefit every day of your vacation through this knowledge.
Josef Loferer VII.
“The further developers of our company ” – where human appreciation plays a major role. Joseph VII has already had the opportunity to get to know tourism from several sides. Young and innovative knowledge flows into the business here in order to tangibly convey to you topics such as regionality, appreciation and employee management.
Joseph VIII – “a perfect playmate” – he was born in April 2013. You all benefit, assuming you are still a child. Due to him we are now completely new sensitized for our young guests and the playroom is always equipped with new surprises. They are an enrichment for our family and for our guests.
Felix – our youngest family member, he was born in December 2014 and together with his big brother Josef, puts a smile on everyone’s face. Thus, we always have the “sunshine” in our house, even on cloudy days.

Now we may introduce our orchestra to you. The most important part of our company. Our success depends on our team and we are constantly working on this. It would be a long list if we listed all of them now, so we may mention our chef Kurt as a representative for the kitchen area – our regular guests inquire about him before arrival. Kurt knows our company for more than 20 years – he is the guarantor that there is never boredom but new recipes are tested and they are always culinary spoiled. Andreas the sous chef, who is remembered by guests for his friendly manner and perfect skills, is part of the family – we are delighted that he has returned to the company from the renowned Arlberg region.
Not to forget our “sly fox” – Harry Fuchs our accountant and also best friend of the family. The treasurer of the house, so to speak. He is left with the keys once the family takes some time off.
In addition to bookkeeping, he takes care of the purchasing of goods and also manages the weekly wine tasting. They are all heartily happy to be there for you with kindness and professionalism, day after day at Hotel Der Waldhof in Zell am See!
